MG MGA - what would the interest be

Hi all, unfortunatly the chances of a MGA or Frogeye ever gracing my garage again seem fairly remote and in view of this I wonder why I have lots of bits for MGA's and Frogeye's sat on shelves collecting dust,as a flavour these would include MGA tool kits, 1 frogeye tool kit, brand tudor wide neck washer bottle etc etc etc, I do not want to sell these all in bits and pieces so would all go as one complete lot and not cheap, as a complete lot in excess of £3,000 but at no more than I paid for them and probably a lot less truth be known, I will put a list together and anyone interested might like to email me, at this point I am just seeing what the level of interest might be and have not definately made up my mind to sell

Gord, IMHO you would get the best return by splitting it.

I strongly agree with Art, Gordon. Retailing is a bigger task, but the return is significantly greater. This is a small and specialized marketplace, and because relatively few of us want a large, mixed job-lot your profits will be substantially smaller. But nearly all want a washer bottle, an air filter, and every bit and piece on your shelf--only separately. Our real hope is that your fortunes reverse and you reacquire the car to hang this all on. Good luck!

You should post the parts on the Spridget section of this website Gordon, I would expect you will get a great response there.
I agree that you will get a better return from lots of individual ads for parts rather than a job lot.
I would think that the "job lot" would most likely appeal to a dealer.

Hi guys thanks for the advice I know you are right I would just rather someone took the lot all at once if I decide to dispose of it

Hi Gordon, Sorry to hear you are having to give up on a continuing MGA ownership . I still remain grateful for the bits and pieces you sent me to start me off on my tool kit . I agree that selling individually is the best way but appreciate that selling them as a job lot would be the easiest - good luck in whatever you decide. Cheers Cam
