MG MGA - Tyre white walls

Can anyone tell where I can get a set of good quality white walls, size 15" to fit on my A? Some brands I have seen seem to turn yellowish after a short period of time. Any good ones around? I want the wide sort.

I'm not sure what it would cost to have them sent to Malta. I have a set from Croker Tire
<www,crokertire.com> Have been on my car for five years, and still look fine; easily cleaned with Mr. Clean Pads.

Greetings Frank,

I bought mine from Diamond Back Classic Radials. They carry a 165/80/15 with a 2 1/4" white wall radial. I'm very pleased with their appreaance but I've not had the opportunity to road test them yet. $159.00 per. They are marketed as "skinny 80 series tires". Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Frank, try www.cokertire.com. Not cheap but apparently they have distributors all around the world.

Hi folks,

thanks for your replies. I have to clarify something on this thread. I am looking for a set of detachable whitewalls, the ones that are attached between the wheel rim and the inner circumference of the tyre. I wouldn't mind getting my hands on a set of permanently whitewalled tyres, but surely these will come too expensive to have shipped to Malta. Besides, the car is fitted with new Firestone tyres, which I don't think I'll be wanting to discard just yet.

Hi again Ken, just sent you an email this morning with some pics attached. I owe you a beer remember, I did not get a round in at the Waterfront. Anyway, thanks for the site for the tyre whitewalls, and thanks also to you Dominic. I have seen the site and they have exactly what I'm looking for. I shall put an order for a set over the phone. They are very reasonable in price too. Tks again.
