MG MGA - Turn-signal bulb numbers?

Can someone give me the correct replacement bulb numbers ,(U.S.versions), for both front and rear turn signals on a 1600?
At least one of my bulbs may be incorrect.
Thank you

12 volt 21 watt, P25-1 sometimes numbered over here as 382. The socket number is something like BA15 s or c. Have a look at:-

The most common one is 1157, available from any auto parts source, even the box box discount department stores. Otherwise there are lots of numbers with slightly different character. See here: http://mgaguru.com/mgtech/electric/et107.htm

I have all the Lucas bulbs listed on my site: Lucas publication.

My turn signal bulbs are all single filament...Front bulbs are large, rear bulbs are small...Isn't an 1157 a dual filament bulb?

I cannot buy Lucas products locally, in the U.S. (at least in my area)...I do not want to have to send away for something as inexpensive as a single-filament bulb.
Thanks for the reference , though.

4 , 21 watt bulbs would add up to 84 watts...The flashers we get here, are 42 watt max....
Maybe that's my problem! (I realize 4 bulbs don't flash at once (LOL).

1156 is the USA common single filament bulb rated at 26.9Watts @ 12.8V

1141 is lower power at 18.4Watts @12.8V

As a turn signal, there will only be 2 bulbs being used at any time; left or right. Flashers can be bought here that will easily drive the two 1157 bulbs if yours will not.

The P25-1 bulb (a.k.a. 382) is rated 21W at 12v (lower voltage) might actually be closer to 23 or 24W at 12.8V

Thanks for all the input....
I have now learned , after a club Tech Session, that the proper bulbs , front and rear, is 1156...Single filament, large bulb....
Checking the resistance on the two rear bulbs that came with the car (from the PO), they showed 2.6 Ohms ...Checking resistance on #1156, showed .6 Ohms...(less than 1/4th the resistance).
I knew that at least one of these bulbs had to be wrong, as it was a completly different shape than the other one, and both were half the size of the 1156 (with the same base)....
The Moss flasher that I thought was burned out, is now working....Mystery solved....Go figure!

Ed, the resistance cold is always very low. 0.6 ohms = 20 amps at light-off or 240 watts! But cold res is good enough to I/D different bulbs. So your flashers were not working b/c there was not enough current!

5 years ago I couldn't spell engineer, now I are one! (LOL)...
Anyway, I was using Ohm's law to figure...
I=V/R....
But, I was upside down in my calculations....Obviously, as the resistance decreases, the amperage increases......
Thanks for the math lesson.
