MG MGA - Timing chain cover felt seal

I'm having trouble with the front seal leaking. Has any one come up with a modification from the felt seal to a new style rubber seal.
Is it possible to mill out the outer flange to except a 2'' By 1- 9/16
seal. I know you can install a early MGB cover and oil slinger.
Thanks Gary

I had already searched his sight for information on converting the cover in stead of replacing. I plan on seeing if I can find a seal that might be adapted to the early cover.
Thanks Gary

I fixed my leaking cover by replacing it with an early B 1800 cover with the press in seal. Work great. One leak fixed more to go.

Just remember that if it does not leak it is not British. Correction, these cars don't leak, they mark their territory.
