MG MGA - The pleasure & the pain!

Well, I have to say that putting the gearbox in first then lowering the engine in was a total treat. I did it on my own and it took all of about 20 minutes and I have to say, when the spines lined up ans the engine slipped back it was a magic moment!

Unfortunately, later in the day I was replacing the bleed nipples in my front calipers and found that one of them has rusted so bad that the top part just crumbled leaving the bottom portion in place... What to do?

Roy,
I had a similar experience with caliper bleed screws. They were so corroded they just snapped off. I took the calipers to a local machine shop and they removed the remaining pieces and restored the threads. I then installed new bleed screws. An alternative is to try using an EZ Out (screw extractor). If you're lucky it might work.

Good Luck,
