MG MGA - Steering wheel interchangeable?

Have been offered a moto-lita steering wheel for an MGB ... will it fit on my A ?

IIRC the early B (62-66?)used the same spline as the A. Of course the rear of the hub is shaped to mate up to the B column shroud for the directional signals so might look a bit odd on the A column. Later B and midgets used a different spline.

The spline will fit but the MGB motolita wheel boss is too deep and will will not allow you to replace the holding nut. I have tried the same thing on mine and only one or two threads protrude. A new Motolita boss will cost around £37.
