MG MGA - Speedo drive

How do you remove the speedo drive seal? I have a new seal and the drive removed but not sure how to proceed. there is a split sleeve to come out first.

It was not so easy! Stage 1 OK, the sleeve. seal was hard in there, and tough, steel backed thing. Had to drill most of it first.
