MG MGA - Seat belt anchorage location (Clark fittings)

I have been reviewing the archives about the fitting of Clarke Spares 3 point seat belt anchorages - in particular the frame anchorage (on the chassis between the seat back and the rear of the door).
There is a lot of comment in the early archives about moving the fixing point another 2" to 4" further back than what Clarke Spares advises to prevent the bracket and quick release assembly from damaging the seat upholstery.
In the pamphlet that came with my fittings, Clarke Spares say the centre of the bracket (between the two bolt holes) should be 29-3/4" to 30-1/2" from the front body brace (where triangular brace attaches, near the front of the door). With this dimension the bracket clears the back of the seat okay! I was wondering if Clarke Spares have changed their recommended distance since these earlier posts or does it still need to be moved back further. (Some of these posts were over 5 years ago).
Does anyone have a measurement for this bracket location that definitely doesn't snag the seat?
(Hope my query is clear - I have trouble talking without using my hands!)

Mike, Come look at my Mk11 chassis which has the brackets as originally fitted. I will be interested in comments from others and will be prepared to alter them if there is an advantage. On my last Mk11 resto, in the original position they did snag the seats.

Mike, If you get a chance cani get you to send a copy of the instalation directions for the seat belts to me at "tosail@erols.com".
I received the same belts when I purchased my 58 MGA but they have no directions on how to install!

I just posted a photo of the mount on my MkII that might help you determine the original position. It's on the Moss Pub board under photos. http://www.mossmotors.com/Forum/
The seat is just sitting on the floor board without any runners attached, so don't infer any interference from that in the photo.

Barry, See you Sat.

Bill R., have emailed instructions as a pdf file

Bill Y. thanks for the photo - I think it answer my query - using the Clarke Spares dimension it appears to be further back than originally location - wil lcheck Barry's tomorrow.

If anyone wants a copy of the installation instructions let me know.

Mike, I just thought of one other reference photo at Eclectic Motorworks. The cover the installation of the brackets on a frame and show photos of the location. Much better quality than my efforts. http://www.eclecticmotorworks.com/

On Saturday we measured the location of the seat belt anchor bracket on Barry's MkII chassis and the dimension for the chassis anchorage is exactly as quoted in the Clarke Spares installation notes if you want to it to be as original.
If you want to avoid damaging the seat move the bracket back another 2" at least.
(I had measured from the wrong spot in my original post above - it is measured from the front body brace mounting point - bolt hole).
