MG MGA - rear wire harness routing

I have a few questions about the rear wiring harness location. This is the wiring that runs from the front of the frame along the bottom to the rear.

1. where should the harness go, between the last P-clip on the frame and the harness clip mount on the rear shock absorber bolt?
2. from some pictures I found of cars on the assembly line in "Making MG's", it looks like the harness passes thru the right rear spring perch that's welded to the frame, is that correct?
3. again from the pictures it looks like the four bullet connectors (red, blk, wht/brn, wht/pur)at the end of the harness, just hang at the rear of the right frame rail. Is that correct?
4. the license plate light pigtail in the harness bit along the rear frame rail seems too long, it's 29". I don't have the body on, where does that excess(?) wiring go?

Any help is very much appreciated.
Thanks, George

After the last P-clip my harness crossed the fuel line and rose vertically against the inside face of the spring shackle between the backboard back face and the tubular cross member then past the fuel pump, still hugging the inside frame face and crossing over to the outside frame face at the shock absorber.
To take up the slack on the number plate harness I wrapped it once or twice around the rear tubular cross member...................Mike

A few photos to follow prior to rebuild. The wiring goes through the rear hanger and the bullets just hangs down. The number plate lamp is quite high up so the 29" may not be too much too long.
