MG MGA - New Master Cylinder

Hi Chaps. As noted elsewhere, the master cylinder of my Mk ll dumped all its hydraulic fluid into the footwell on the evening before Silverstone. However I bought a new one at the event, and fitted it during the next week (bleeding both clutch and brakes surprisingly easy with the Eezibled). I have since noticed something slightly odd, although not something to worry overmuch about, I think. When I had finished bleeding the systems, I took it for a proving run, and when thoroughly warmed up, I adjusted the pushrod clearance on both clutch and brake pedals. About a week later, before I took it out for a spin, I checked the fluid level (ok - no leaks) and also checked the pushrod clearance again. The clearance had tightened up for some reason, so I adjusted them again. I have subsequently checked them before and after a run, and the clearance reduces as the car cools down, suggesting that the pistons gradually relax in the bores. This seems odd, as there are springs to return the pistons to their stops, and I would expect any metal expansion to increase rather than decrease the clearance as it cools. Anyone else noticed something similar? AB. (Incidentally, I bought two new pushrods from B&G, and they are slightly different to the originals - they now come with the yolk fitted, and appear to have longer adjustment than the originals - there has been some discussion about running out of pushrod adjustment on this BB, so anyone affected by this might want to get new ones!)
