MG MGA - Mt Panorama Easter 2008

Hi Guys

Mt Panorama Easter 2008

I was wondering if anyone else on here is going to the FoSC Event at Mt Panorama Easter 2008 (http://www.fosc.com.au/). I’m taking my MGA and just wondering what vehicle preparations people are making. It should be a great event, for those of you who don’t know Mt Panorama it’s acknowledged by most international drivers who have driven it as one of the most demanding and greatest tracks in the world. Most of the year it’s a public road so to drive on it at speed is a rare privilege. Check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Panorama_Circuit

One problem is that it that is the same date as the MG National Meeting at Tamworth NSW, also at Easter 2008.

I have driven around the Mt Panorama at speed in a mga twin cam. A experience not easily forgotten. This was in the days before the chicane was added to the main straight and there were no concrete barriers. If you went over the edge you would be "flying", or actually falling.

Tim,

I usually watch "The Great Race" and would like to drive the track one day, but this year I hope to join Mick at the Nat Meet.
I think my car might only make it there on a trailer though.
Send us some photos if you do drive the track though.

Cheers
Mark.
