MG MGA - MGB engined MGA

Am fitting B engine into my MGA. I would be interested in recommendations on a suitable exhaust system for this conversion since I assume the original system needs uprating.Anyway I love the B burble ! Does anyone make a stainless system that would be suitable ?

I used my standard 1500 exhaust.

On my SC and overbored engine (about 1700) I use a Falcon exhaust, and recommend staying clear of them - the silencers have to be replaced too often because the stuffing gets blown out. A standard A exhaust should be fine . on the early B I look after too, there is hardly any difference between the A pipes and the B ones

I also have the Judson Supercharger with a 18v engine, I am using a stock system and it works great.

A twin cam exhaust system (it's 2 in.) and header work great on my MKII with an 1800.

I purchased a Maniflow system from APT in California, http://www.aptfast.com/, but it is made there in England. I am happy with it. I recommend that if you do go with any tubular exhaust that you invest in ceramic coating inside and out. It will prevent the notoriously quick rusting and I found it greatly reduced the heat that gets transferred into the cabin. The stock A manifold is not nearly as well designed, and is more restrictive, than the stock B manifold which is hard to improve on.
