MG MGA - mga twin cam for sale

Hi all, nice original Twin Cam for sale on the US Ebay been off the road since 1970, one time I wish I lived in the states

What is something like this worth? It is clean and restorable. They don't say if it runs, the interior is worn out or missing and it is rusted through in the rockers and presumably lots of normal repairable rust underneath. A normal car in this condition would appear to me to be hard pressed to go for over $5,000.
The VIN# appears to be a typo as the plate in the picture disagrees. There are internal engine parts pictured is the engine apart?

These days an original pushrod MGA will go for 5000 bucks in that condition. 25000 seems a bit steep though, unless the car had some sort of history to go with it. But, it all comes down to what someone is willing to pay for it, that will be its value. Too rich for me though.......

That Twin-Cam is a gem!
There can't be more than a handful of unrestored but restorable Twin-Cams left now, and that one looks like an easy restoration.
The restored cars are going for upwards of $40,000. but what fun is that? The TC is the type of car where half of the fun is in taking them apart and then putting them back together, and the other half is in driving them. They were never meant for "polishers".

If I had $25K, I would buy it. I own one that's in the restoration process, I will have more than that in it, just in finding all the parts. This one looks to have all the bits that are very expensive to but after the fact.
Good luck to the fiture owner!

I may be mistaken, but isn't the crossmember supposed to have 4 or 5 holes in it vs the 2 of a pushrod frame?

The early mga twin cams did not have the five holes in the front crossmember. A definite start point has been difficult to determine. It is believed to be around chassis number 650, that is after the first 150 cars built.
