I sent the guy a e-mail, here is what he had to say: The pictures of the car are in the attachment! The car is in a sealed container at the shipping company in Idaho. You'll receive the car papers along with the car! VIN: YD3/1656 I'm offering you a secure deal and the car will be inspected on arrival by eBay staff. Here is how the process works: - you give me your shipping address, - I start a transaction on eBay Vehicle Purchase Protection, - they send you the payment instructions, - you send the money into eBay trust account, - they confirm me that they received the funds, - I ship the car, - you receive the car, - they send me the money. Here's a few words on how this transaction is going to be handled: the most important thing in all my activity here is that I am affiliated with eBay Motors where I have a purchase protection account for up to $20,000. eBay will take care of the financial part by holding the payment in their bank account managed by an eBay representative (they will provide you with that information in the purchase invoice which you will receive from them). They will hold the money until the car is delivered to you, with properly executed title. If the car is not like described you will have to ship it back in 30 business days on my expense, but I am sure that you will love it. In order to move forward I will need the following info from you so I can set up a new transaction case through eBay: 1. full name 2. shipping address EBay will get in touch with you for further details and instructions. Looking forward to hearing from you! Darrell |

And this... If you are interested in the car please read this e-mail carefully! The car is still for sale, but not for long, I hope. I've removed the add, because I had the impression that I already have a buyer, but he did not have the money. The price is $9,500. Anyway, the car is in perfect working condition, with no rust or bondo on it and a laser-straight body. My experienced technician has fully checked the car and gave it a special high rating, it has a CLEAN and CLEAR TITLE, great history and without any mechanical problems, safety check and pre-delivery inspection, along with a fresh servicing before I ship or deliver the vehicle. My problem is that in the meanwhile, i got divorced, and I had to move with my kids in Hungary where I got a new job as a construction engineer. I've left the car crated in a warehouse back in US and my intention was to have it shipped here, but when I found out about the very high import duties here, I have made up my mind and decided to sell the vehicle. So, if you want to buy it, I am covering the cost for shipping and will include insurance for the trip. The delivery will take between 12 and 15 business days (with insurance and 30 days return policy). The payment will be completed using eBay secure pay services o we can both be protected! Let me know if you are interested. I have reserved the car for you, but I will need your answer in the next couple of days. The best part is the price changed and the location, what a jerk. He had the same scam going for a Triumph TR3 on ebay for the same amount. Ebay removed both of them. |

If you sell somthing of value on eBay you could get the 'Ask Seller A Question' email. Since the link is to your item you think it is legitimate. You click the button and enter your user name and password. They now have access to your account and monitor it. Either they direct future questions to set up a fraud sale or they relist the item over and over with a low cost 'buy it now' to snag people. |

I offered to send him a cheque written on my Nigerian bank account for 25000 and to just send me the difference..........strangely, he declined.............. |

I've purchased a whole set of instruments from a trashed 1956 MGA and want to restore to next to original condition. I see several listings on the web from Mn. to S.C., Ill. and Va. Does any of you out there have a suggestion? |
