MG MGA - MGA restoration

New to NAMGAR have 61 mga 1600...now have a rolling chasis (no motor/tran). I live in East Texas (between Dallas and Tyler) and looking for someone to review my work, any suggestions?
thanks

Review your work? I wish I had thought of that. I just kept at it until it was done. I must tell you that on your first drive you will hear every squeak and rattle and whistle and whine. You'll wonder if the wheels will stay on and if the front end will hold together. Each shift through the gears will be heart stopping as you hope the clutch holds and the throw out bearing works. When you step on the brakes you say a little prayer and hope it stops. Then, you'll just give it to your 16 year old daughter and stop worrying. Oh, perhaps you're not as much of a nutter as I.... never mind...

Try Ken Langford of the Texas MG Register in Dallas/Ft. Worth - kimberclose@aol.com. He may know of an MGA owner living near you.
Seeya in Hot Springs in July?

Thanks for the input...David I tried that about 30 years ago with my first rebuild and sure enough the frontend was not correct and had to pull engine and fenders...so lesson learned the hard way.
I bought this car in boxes, so most I did not tear-down myself...been interesting.
Peter I will drop Ken an email.

David, you are indeed a nutter, but not about your daughter or your rather her MGA. How time flies. Love the photo, compare to this one you sent a few years ago.

Jay, We have a MGA Restoration in common. Mine is also in boxes. Maybe we can commiserate from time to time. All the best. Clive

Plenty of resources near you!

Local club source: http://www.tmgr.org/
Then there's http://www.namgar.com

Ken Lanford just finished restoring an "A" within the last 24-mos. Also, George Merryweather (located in Murphy just northeast of DFW) is the chairman of NAMGAR: chairman@namgar.com

I also have rebuild photos at: http://www.kesman.com/mg_car_links.htm
