MG MGA - MG barn/garage/junk yard find?

Good Morning all, I'm over from the TD/TF board.
I just saw this in the BBS classified, thought some would be interested. If you look closely at some of the pictures, I believe there are some TD/TF fenders. This is similar to the barn find in Portugal some years ago. I have no affiliation with the seller, just thought some might be interested. Over 140 pictures, that should keep some busy on a cold winter day! John

Just a lick of paint and ready to drive away....

Very depressing, I hope some will be saved, there must be a tool kit somewhere in that lot : )

Oh, so THAT'S where they all went....!

Don't know about the rest of you, but I have mixed feelings about collectors like this. I guess it would be no fun if they were all restored and on the road, right? Right?

Any idea what he's asking for these cars? I seem to remember reading about this guy (or someone like him) that was very flaky, possibly even a scam).

Heck, if I won the Lottery, I wouldn't mind buying all of it. Then I could just work on them the rest of my life.

Now that is a crying shame.... but very very cool!

Enjoy the pictures but from what I understand this is some sort of scam.

I don't know if that guy is on the level but the old timer I bought my midget from told me there is a guy in the chicago area with 2 building full of old cars and parts that he has been to in person. This sounds like it might be the guy. The old guy is trying to find the address and I was told if I ever go there to show up in work clothes cause he refuses to sell to anyone in a suit.

I can't say if it is a scam or not. I wrote about a few parts and I heard back right away when I asked about the collection, but when I asked about only parts, no reply.

The exact reply I received when I inquired about the location of the collection and would they part it out or sell the entire thing was:

"We are located in Quincy, IL, which is about 130 miles due north of St. Louis, MO. We would like to sell everything in one huge lot, but we would sell both complete cars, parts cars and parts.

As I said after I got this email I asked about some parts I need for my restoration since he said he'd sell parts only but I have not heard back. Maybe he's busy I don't know.

Cheers,
