MG MGA - How many MG's can you get on a ferry

This was the scene in Croatia a few time at the end of last month

Italian MGCC trip to Croatia

73 cars (I think) a beautiful MG SA (for sale if you have 100k ono going spare), K1, VA's, various T's (I kept making Dave Godwin tell me the difference between them and could probably at a push now identify them on my own), lots of A's from around Europe, one very famous MGA from Oz (RIP), quite a few B's, a few midgets and one Frog, and a few modern T and TFs. Plus a lot of very very nice people from all over the world, and a great trip involving lots of long lunches and great driving and filling a few ferries on the travels.

Colyn Firth was also in Austria nd Switzerland and met some of fellow MGA travellers from Belgium on the Car-Train in Innsbruck and casually asked if they perchance knew Dave and Laurel Godwin and were blown away by the "of course".

The blue B is the one that travelled with Dave and Laurel through Africa and through South and North America, so also a very well travelled car.

There is a similar gathering planned for Flims, Switzerland 8th-12th August 2018, so mark the dates in your diaries!

For non-skiers, Films is part of the Laax ski area, and is a beautiful part of the most picturesque country n the world! At that time of year you can expect it to be free of snow, but no guarantees.......

This is a picture of some of the cars parked up just before heading to dinner on the other side of the square. The cars were the star of the show for all out on their evening promenade, RIP and BlueB in particular.

A few of the 50 or so MGAs that crossed the Firth of Clyde on the 60th anniversary tour of the UK.

Some of the 18 Antipodean travellers crossing by ferry from Dover to Calais in 2015.

Just wonder how much that lot on the Croatia ferry are worth in total.

We have just bought our flights to Melbourne for late October for 5 weeks. Would you know if there will be any meetings in the Melbourne area that I could attend in your spring?
Thanks, Graham

Graham, always plenty on in Melbourne for MG enthusiasts! Here is the Club calendar with details of events
http://www.mgcc.com.au/calendar/calendar.shtml
Montly meeting (second Wed of every month) at our Club rooms is a good starting point. Club website also has all the contact details so you can make contact when you get here.

We will probably be staying in Carnegie and also Elwood so it looks like it's all pretty nearby. Look forward to it.
