MG MGA - Here we go, Gordon

Here is a nice looking car on fleabay. If it is as good as it should be underneath and it stays under 15k, it will be a good buy for someone.

HNeil, Looks good - bit confusing with 1962 stated in headline and 1959 given elsewhere - Cam
Cam Cunningham

Hi if it's a 62 car shouldn't it be a Mk2 with recessed grill and mini lights

The 1962 bit looks like a mistake.

I looked it up on the DVLA site, which says first registered in Aug 59. I think the vendor must be a dealer as he also has put a TR4 for sale at same time.

This one looks like it might be at a realistic price ?

Graham, I expect that will sell pretty quick; looks like a reasonable car at the right price.
Neil McGurk

Nice car Graham - good to know they have kept the original wheels - sell the minilites and get back £500.
Cam Cunningham

Hi Graham I'm sticking with Steves' offer on the more expensive one lol

Hi this is getting silly £28500 for a 1600 they are having a laugh and it needs a decent front bumper

Ten grand over at least.

Not sure about the tan interior with dove grey? Should be concours before getting anywhere near that price and the engine bay detail is far from its original specification.

That said, very pretty car.
Neil McGurk

Funny. I saw that car in their showroom only a few days ago. We were passing through Beaulieu and so we stopped for a look. It is very expensive but I must admit, it is in super condition as were all their cars. But I think here is where they bought it (same site) http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C87340/

They had 2 more super MGA's in the back that were their own collection and not for sale. The guy that talked to us obviously loves them.

Shouldn't have all that chrome fancy-work on the dash, should it? Mine hasn't.
Nick

You are right Nick. That was originally for twin cams, coupes and MkIIs.
Neil McGurk

You have to remember that the Beaulieu garage holds a rather special position in the classic car market in terms on its location and customer base. Many of its customers don't need to ask the price.... A lot of their cars are sold on behalf of the owners with a percentage paid to the garage.
J H Cole

Well spotted Nick - dash is definitely meant for Mk 2/twin cam - so not concours then - Neil I agree - probably £10k overpriced - but then maybe someone with too much money will pay it - hope so in a way as this means mine should fetch more if I need to sell - cheers Cam
Cam Cunningham

Hi Nick I know you have a frogeye, didn't know you had an A as well
