MG MGA - Headlamp flasher wiring

I am about to install a headlamp flasher, following the wiring diagram in the MGA workshop manual. My question is, what thickness of wire should I use from the relay to Terminal A1 of the regulator?..I have some of the same thickness used in the wiring loom, which I guess is 44 or 65 size...is it necessary to use the same size for this purpose?

Gary - While it is perhaps not entirely necessary to use the same gauge of wire that is used in the wiring harness, I would probably use the same for a couple of reasons. First, you know from experience that the gauge of wire in the harness is adequate for the current used by the headlights (even though in in the flasher, the duty cycle is very small). Second, it has been my observation that the wires int he harness, particularly the ones for the headlights is just barely adequate for the current requirements and going to a smaller wire would probably wind up with a gauge that is inadequate.
