MG MGA - Header sources

Hello all,

I am looking for a header for my 1960 1600. Does anyone know who manufacturers the one Moss sells? (i.e. another source for the same part.) Is there another header you recommend?

Moss's looks good in the catalog, but should be gold plated for the price they ask.

Hi-Flo in Austraila, Hans..., makse what looks to me to be a superior unit. Its not any cheaper than Moss, probably more $, plus shipping.

Thanks Steve,

I'd still like to know who manufactures the Moss unit. I'm pretty sure its not Hooker or Pace Setter as it is not shown on their website.

Advanced Performance Technology (APT) in Riverside, CA (800-278-3278)sells one or two types of headers for the MGA. Owner Dave Anton is a great source of info regarding A and B-series engine performance. He shipped my header directly to Jet-Coat (Tempe, AZ) for coating.

Thanks, Tyler,

I've looked at their web site. Does anybody know who produces the Moss unit?

Safety fast!

JMG:

The unit Moss supplies is manufactured by Maniflow in the UK. One of the reasons for the high price is the exchange rate.

Overall the quality and fit are very good, but the production quantities are much lower than comparable MGB headers, so the price is higher.

I've got one I bought for my MGA at home, so if you have any other questions ask away.

Kelvin.
