MG MGA - Buchanan MGs

Came across this browsing the web today. I've never heard of them and unfortunately there aren't any photos other than the little headers.

The Buchanan bodies were constructed and marketed by Nat Buchanan from a small works in Annandale, Sydney in the mid 1950s. I recall being at an MG Club function at the Oatlands Golf Club at Dundas when Nat officially presented the body mounted on a TC chassis. The overall design was based on a DB3S Aston. Nat also marketed a smaller fibreglass sports car body designed to take Standard 8 and 10 mechanicals. The larger bodies were only made for 2/3 years and mostly fitted to TC, TD & Y chasses but some were fitted with Holden 6 and TR2/3 engines. I have seen the occasional body for sale in Australian motor magazines but they are pretty rare now.

Steve,

The Buchanan bodied MG TF, quoted on the website you found, is still racing in Historic competitions.

These look suspiciously like similar ebay vehicles in past auctions. Since there are some missing, maybe they are them? It would be good for a laugh, especially since about everybody derided them for their looks.
