MG MGA - 1500 MGA Brakes

Can someone tell me if the front brake back plates are specific to each side? After looking at the picture in the workshop manual I think I might have two right hand ones.

If my memory is correct - there is a stamping of "L" or "LH" or "R" or "RH". Take a good look and see if you see the stamping. If there both the same you'll have to find its mate. Good Luck.

You can see the RH stamp in the attached picture. The back plates are LH and RH to keep the brake cylinders symmetrical.

I believe they are handed to avoid fouling the brake cylinders on the steering arm.
