MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - MG ZT 190 clutch worry
Has anyone lost their hydraulic fluid from the clutch activating system? I expect that the arrangement in my car are the same as other 2.5 DOHC. The car is coming up to 52,000 miles. Slater Reynolds |

Yes, but mine was caused by a faulty slave cylinder after ~200 miles(!!!) Not sure if that helps any? P. |

Yes, on my ZS180 at around 58k miles. It was fixed under warranty. I suspect that the problem is caused by the clutch activating arm corroding and therefore giving excessive resistance. The rubber seals in the clutch slave and master cylinders are the weakest point in the system, so they fail. Ralph |

The ZT190 and ZS180 use completely different hydraulic systems. The ZS180 system is a fairly common problem but the ZT190 has no such problems. |

...but mine was a 190... but it was a very specific problem of the clutch slave cylinder becoming unattached from inside the bell housing after 1 week of ownership!! Grrr. P. |
