MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - Master Cylinder

Upon removing the brake / clutch master cylinder from my ZB Magnette, I observed the remains of additional grommetts located in the holes in the mounting bracket through which the push rods pass. There are listings for the push rod gaiters (have obtained new ones)but nothing is mentioned of any other grommetts to seal around the aforementioned holes. Can anybody offer any suggested replacements if, indeed, they originally existed.
Secondly, I an considering welding the four mounting bolts onto the master cylinder bracket so that the complete bracket, with master cylinder in place, can be replaced as a complete unit. Any advise on this would also be appreciated.
