MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - Headlamp 'covers'
What initially looked like fogging on the inside of the 'glass'(?), is in fact on the outside. At first I thought it was a film developing on the surface, but now I'm leaning more to it being a film that was originally over the whole surface, and is going milky in places, and missing altogether to leave clear glass in others. The car spends a lot of time under a carport facing due south, so is in full sun most of the time it is shining (the grille badge is now just a monochrome octagon). Any thoughts? |

I found a product called "Plexus" at a marine supply store that is used to remove the milky firm on perspex - so I thought Why not give it a try on the "fogged" ZR headlamps - worked a treat, but it did take a couple of applications over a few days. The same product is used on aircraft canopies. The badge will have to be replaced - remove the old one with a piece of fishing line. cheers |

Thanks for that, lots of references and available in the UK. I like the fishing line idea better than levering it off! |
