Danny a quick search of recent threads here will tell you all you need to know to compare standard ones from Moss and everybody else with Barry King's ones.

Just fitted some of Barry King's ones, well impressed. and the extra lube point can only be a good thing. Give him a call, details on the website quoted by Bas, he's a really decent guy.

I have a pair of them too after my "wishbone incident" this summer in Scotland and they look great but... the inside is smaller then the original ones and this comes clear when you try to fit your Frontline front suspension...
I gues its Hammertime again to get it to fit in. ;)

David, cheapest is not always best! the most expensive isn't always best either! i'm (as ever) looking for the best value, i'm wondering who referbs for the trade and saving a few quid.

I have a frontline kit fitted so standard size would be best.

Darren,

Have you got a picture from the side showing where the crack started?.

Also what sort of damper setting do you use?.
David Billington

Do the rounds, Danny. I phoned round Welsh, Sussex, Moss, AH Spares. Welsh were cheapest then. But be sure to check holes for frontline, and what's included in the price. Some include fulcrum pins and cotters. Some don't.

Don't buy refurbed.

Oot of interest, are these all based on the same pressing for the initial shaped steel pan? It is pressed from quite thick sheet and a fairly complex shape. With the level of demand it would be surprising if there were many (more than 1?) factories stamping out those basic pieces. I would assume that the main UK retailers are all sourcing from the same supplier. That isn't to say that the end products are necessarily all the same quality as the standard of assembly and fabrication can clearly vary.

I am of course aware that the Barry King ones are superior although I had assumed that he started with stock items before adding his various modifications.

Arie, is that your workshop??!!

No its a shaby garage i was this summer, actualy you should recognize it! :)

How is the 1380 midget doing, any progres since i left?

Arie de Best

Hi David havent got photo of side but will have a look ( got it hanging in garage as a trophy ) the damper setings for general road use both front and back are usually set at 1 click up from minimum and when im sprinting the fronts go up to 5 or 6 and the rears up to 3 or 4

Hi all in response to Guy Weller the "premier" wishbone is a modification/improvement of our original reproduction unit which my father created all the tooling for many years ago of which he has sold thousands of units all over the world via all the big names, for the past 34 years my fathers business has been solely wishbones and never have we made them for any one else or used any other pressings/tooling other than our own so in the words of Kelloggs we dont make wishbones for anyone else!.I am sure many of you have purchased our original unit from various stockists(the gold sticker on the top is a giveaway)but the premier is only available direct from us thanks for reading.Barry King
