MG Midget and Sprite Technical - What tool kit?

It is extremely frustrating rattling through a whole range of spanners, ratchets, and other tools trying to fit the range of nuts/bolts in my 1979 MG midget.

Has anyone a suggestion of what size spanner set I should purchase and put away just for the Midget?

it can be in acening order asit dependsupon what you want to do?

starts at 1/2" AF combination
next 9/16ths AF combination
and 7/16ths AF combination

Then goes up and down the AF range in combination spanner before moving to 3/8th drive socket set with numerous length extensions.

Then unfortunately the sky is the limit so it is a very dificult question to answer??

My own toolkit is pushing me out of the garage :) and I have full sets of everything including metric ,1/4 3/8th, 1/2 and some 3/4 drive sockets in AF Metric and BA and a whole array of other tools. Generally I have what I need but probably use everything at sometime.
Robert (Bob) Midget Turbo

Thanks Bob - so I guess I should just look at a set of AF "inch/imperial" spanners and sockets? Some of the nuts (like the one on the cotter pin for the king pin) are so damned small.

My Bentley manual wasn't much help as it "sort of" said that there were various types of sizes used in the car - I think.

I've a large collection of tools as well, but I'm working on three "modern" cars as well as a 1980 Mini Moke. I would like to buy an individual set just for the MG that I can put away just where I can find the right size at the right time.

Thanks once again Bob. Where I was getting confused was with spanners marked as AF or SAE. But I think I've googled up enough to understand that they are both the same thing?????
Please correct me if I'm wrong. It just seems that I'm jumping from imperial to metric spanners as I move between different parts of the car.
