Hello all,

I know this isn't the proper place (forgive), but I'm getting desperate...I can't believe in this whole crazy-mixed-up world we live in, no one has any 1500 seats to sell!! Can anyone hear my anguished cry??? (cue gushy music). Thank you!

i've got them in my car and would love to trade for some early mk3 seats (no head rest black with white piping)but there is something holding me back (big piece of water between us?)

Al, I'm sure we can find some seats for you, but you may have to travel a bit or pay the shipping. There are a couple of guys here in the KC area who might have a pair. What condition do you want? Finding some that don't need covers at least will be hard, most will probably need a good rebuild as well.

Might as well specify your preference in colours as well. Maybe look for some Miata seats?

Bill, shipping is no problem. I have one seat that looks good, but needs new padding. What's available?

O, What's a little water between friends? I don't have any seats to trade, however.

Al. My friends, Bob and Gil Schaulin own "the MG wrecking yard in Arizona", officially known as "Metro Storage/G&B Enterprises". They have all of the seats you might need. Their telephone number is 602-415-1846 and they work Monday-Saturday most weeks. Arizona does not go on day light savings time.

I've just turfed some scruffy (somebody tried to paint the drivers side one, peels off with fingernail; some seams (mainly headrest) are starting to gape) brown mk3 seats in the trash - free if you want them and can arrange to collect.

Thanks everyone. I feel there is hope. I'll need to start making calls. Marko: thanks for the offer, I'm gonna try some closer sources. BTW, that's my color, but I'm looking to do the interior in black instead of autumn, unless I get some really good seats. I'm holding off carpet order until I decide for sure.

if you want miata seats go to a good salvage yard that has access to a national parts data base they can find anything at any price...and have it shiped in.

RE: Miata seats, I spent about 12 hours on Saturday as a passenger and driver in an MGBGT with Miata seats, and I was impressed. They're pretty comfortable, look good, and are thin enough that they won't have you pressed into the steering wheel.

Which vintage of Miata donated the seats? I have found the NA seats to be a skosh bulky for a Spridget, but I have not yet found (since I haven't been actively seeking) a set of 99 seats.
