MG Midget and Sprite Technical - SU carbs

What holds the little brass and flexable pipe that goes between the float bowl and the adjustable jet? Is the nut supposed to have a ring or something to tighten up on the pipe or is mine just worn? Pushing it right in as you tighten the nut still allows the pipe to be pulled out. It all started with a fuel leak!
Any help appreciated.

Hi Col.

Have a look at this link to the Moss website, it shows an exploded diagram of all the Carb. components. You should have a small metal washer and a rubber seal, I've indicated them on the attached picture.

Thanks Tim, that explains a lot. I will try to find the washer and O ring seal.
Thanks again
What a brilliant BBS this is, always an answer from someone.
