MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Squeaky Midget

Hi,
I have a 1978 midget 1500 which has developed an annoying 'squeak' which appears to be coming from the rear suspension- from both sides. What might be causing this?
Cheers
Bill.

Hi,
Got some rubber lubricant from my local Halfords store to-day, guess what? no squeak! I take it I should replace the bushes ASAP! Can I use nylon or must I use rubber?
Bill.

I had Moss ST Nylatron bushes for a long time in the early 90s. They are very harsh. Its hard with some many variations of worn bushes/springs/dampers....but modern Polybushes are the way to go for a road car.

Rubber is only good for one thing... Concourse trailered show queens...

If you are actually going to drive the car more the 10 miles a year on and off the trailer, then get the red polybushes, they do require a special lube to install

But the polys will last long after your the car has turned to dust and the cockroaches learn to talk,

rubber bushing??? if your real lucky and nature them along 7 year? I say that beause thats how long Ive had my rubber bushes, and there gone.
