MG Midget and Sprite Technical - residual pressure valve- twin MC setup

I have the twin MC with bias bar setup, and now adjusted properly thanks to advice from here about a year ago....

Whilst researching brakes in connection with my 8" rear drum conversion i have come across "residual pressure valves" (see pic)
These go in the line to the rear brakes and make sure there is always 10 psi in the line, this does two things:
1. Keeps the slaves under slight pressure so that the seals are in "active mode " (for want of a better description!) and helps prevent leaks
2. Stops the slaves from retracting all the way when the pedal is released meaning that less fluid needs to be pumped on next brake application, meaning firmer pedal....

Seems like a good idea to me... does anyone else use these ?

description from the Jegs website...

"Residual pressure valves hold a preset pressure from the valve to the brakes be it disc or drum.
On some cars with the master cylinder lower than the brakes on each wheel, byholding a set pressure it insures that the brake fluid does not siphon back into the master cylinder.
Also as with the case of drum brakes the return springs installed on the brake shoes will collapse the slave cylinder where you would not have contact from the shoes to the drums with just one push on the pedal.
With 10 psi residual pressure held, the shoes are held close to the drums for instant braking on the first push of the pedal. "
