MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Rear suspension radius link
Does anyone know of a kit (or drawings) for a rear suspension radius link for a bugeye? I have coilover springs mounted on lower traailing arms that are hitting the upper radius link. I remember seeing years ago a picture of a link that mounts near the center differential. This also allows for more tire clearance. Thanks for your help |

satchell link suspension? |

No, This changes the rear from a 4-link suspension to a 3-link setup. A panhard rod will be used to locate the axle. |

Frontline do some "thin" ones. David |

Message from the "real" Max T (midgetmax). I sent a link to this BBS to a contact in the US, hence the talk of "Bugeyes" - seems it linked to my "Member" status and he's logged in as me, poor chap. This is posted from a chap called Steve Guterman, please help him all you can and remember it's somone from across the pond. Good luck Steve. Cheers Max |

Steve (or Max), I made some radius arms to replace the originals years ago from 1" OD 16swg wall tube with the end eyes being 1.25" OD x 10swg tube and used TR6 inner wishbone bushes as at the time the original type seemed NLA. The TR6 bushes had the same width and bore centre tube with no outer tube and were pushed into the eyes and excess rubber cut off the width. Depending on how much fouling you have that could be an option as could reducing the main arm OD and using a thicker wall. |
