MG Midget and Sprite Technical - oil cooler hoses

Hi All
Could someone please advise why the difference in oil cooler hoses between a vertical and cross flow radiator set up
Thanks
S G Macfarlane

Can you post where you have obtained that information from.

I thought they were the same for A series i.e AHA8778 and 8777.

1500's are different I believe as they need a sandwich block fitment.

The Parts Manual shows that the oil cooler hoses for the vertical and x-flow radiators are different - please see attached extract from the Manual.

Maybe you would need to ask MGOC spares what the difference is.

They seem to list a kit (including fittings) for 1275 X-flow and another for 'up to 1966'. So nothing for 1275 with vertical flow.

Moss list the same part numbers for both applications.

I had a 1965 midget 1098cc with a vertical flow radiator. My 1971 has a cross flow radiator. 1275 1966 - 1974 should all cross flow.
