MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Midget cam identification

The cam I have to build my engine up was removed from a 74 midget.
The only markings I can see on it are on the end where it is marked 4A74
Searching for this in various combinations of a series.midget/cam etc just brings up a huge set of listing for midget porn and auntie porn.
I don't get the connection to aunties but maybe I am just not as worldly wise as I thought.
Anyway, does anybody have any idea either what this number means or have a way to identify the cam to make sure it isn't something stupid for normal road use?
R Barr

Looking at various markings and sizes the best guess I can make is that it is an AEG577, AEG323 or AEG 538.
Don't know what the other larkings mean and not sure if there is any easy way to tell if it is reground.
Neckieman

You should be able to tell if it's reground by the size of the base circle, although it helps if you've got a standard one to compare it with.
