MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Master Cylinder diagnosis

I was very disappointed Sat. when my brake pedal went to the floor again. I've rebuilt this thing twice now. Honed the cylinders lightly last time and the bores looked good (to me).
So brakes are either fine or non-existent, can pump and restore briefly. Sound like a bad main seal...AGAIN? Sound like abrasive bore chewing up the seal despite "looking good"?
I may have to send it out for a sleeve repair I guess?

Might be better off biting the bullet and buying one of the new ones. I would rather do that than have it sleeved.

There are no new ones for 3/4" bore master cylinders, that I know of. '63 midget, MK1

Maybe I'll go after a 7/8" bore one.....
I'm off to pull it out AGAIN. At least I'm getting good at it.

Oops, it looked a lot newer from here ;-)

I found a tear in the seal. Why it tore there I don't know, picture reveals what looks like some wear along that edge. Probably 40 miles on that seal.
