| Hi sorry its been a bit late coming ,( the weather and xmass festivites got in the way ) but here s the route for the London bridges run 2011 , with all the amendments for this years obstacle course of road works ( all different to last years just to keep uz on our toes ) Hope to see you all there at the start ( meet from 9 am to leave at 10 am ) and at the mo the long range weater is looking not to bad , temperature s up to 3 degrees , so it looks like a heat wave :-) LONDON BRIDGES RUN SUNDAY 2ND JANUARY 2011 Start Point : Rotherhithe McDonalds, Evelyn Street, London SE8 5AW Exit left into Bestwood Street, moving slowly over to the right hand lane into Bush Road. Keep right following the one-way system right into Rotherhithe New Road, right into Rotherhithe Old Road passing the car sales on the right hand side then move over to the middle lane. Forward at the traffic lights into Lower Road Seven Island Leisure Centre is on your left Keep left at the Rotherhithe roundabout into Jamaica Road Keep left but stay out of the bus lane note no access in bus lane at any time Pass Bermondsey Underground on the left Straight ahead at the traffic lights Straight ahead at the 2nd set of traffic lights signposted towards Tower Bridge Follow through the lights keeping left into Tanner Street Turn right into Druid Street follow the one way system keeping to the right passing Lucky Motors on the left Right at the traffic lights into Tower Bridge Road Cat & Cucumber on the right hand corner Next set of lights straight ahead and keep going straight over Tower Bridge care 20mph speed limit Once over the bridge continue straight ahead into Minories signposted Ring Road and Other Routes. Keep left Turn left into Mansell Street, following the signs for the Ring Road At traffic lights at the end of the Ring Road turn left into Aldgate High Street congestion zone note this does not apply at weekends. Keep left Past Aldgate Station on the right Keep left into Fenchurch Street signposted London Bridge and Fenchurch Street Station. To the end of the road then turn left at the traffic lights into Gracechurch Street Over Monument junction and go left over London Bridge Boots on the corner Get into the right hand lane. Go under the railway bridge into Borough High Street (following the signs for Guys Hospital). Past London Bridge Tube Station. Turn right at Borough Tube Station into Marshalsea Road note 20 mph zone. Turn right at the lights into Southwark Bridge Road cross 2 sets of lights onto Southwark Bridge At the traffic lights turn left into Upper Thames Street. Go through the underpass moving across into the right hand lane note speed camera on the left before the underpass. Take the first right into Puddle Dock signposted Blackfriars Bridge Turn left at the lights into Queen Victoria Street Past Blackfriars Station Left onto Blackfriars Bridge Keep right turn right immediately after the bridge into Stanford Street Comply Waterloo / Imax roundabout Leave by Waterloo Bridge 3rd exit Keep to the left do not go down the underpass At the traffic lights turn left into The Strand Past Charing Cross station on the left After Charing Cross station move immediately to the left Enter Trafalgar Square one way system Leave by Whitehall 2nd left Proceed straight down Whitehall to Parliament Square Note road works there is no left turn from Whitehall onto Westminster Bridge. Comply Parliament Square go right round and leave by Westminster Bridge Big Ben is on the right Keep right at the junction heading towards Vauxhall & St Thomass Hospital A3036 Keep right - Park Plaza County Hall is on the left Turn right into Lambeth Palace Road St Thomas Hospital is on the right Ahead Lambeth Palace Road Keep to the right at the lights and comply the roundabout 3rd exit onto Lambeth Bridge Left into Millbank Speed Camera be aware! Left at the lights onto Vauxhall Bridge Comply Vauxhall one way system keeping mainly to the right Leave by 9 Elms Lane signposted Covent Garden Market, Battersea Note speed camera - nice car dealership on the left Jack Barclay Ahead 9 Elms Lane keep right after Battersea Dogs Home Turn right into Prince of Wales Drive signposted Chelsea Bridge Comply Queens Circus Leave by Chelsea Bridge 3rd exit QVC on right Left onto Chelsea Embankment at the lights Albert Bridge is closed straight ahead at the lights At the next set of lights turn left onto Battersea Bridge First left inot Howie Street Right onto Park Gate Road Right at the lights back into Battersea Bridge Road Ahead back over Battersea Bridge (dont forget to wave at the midgets and Sprites coming the other way!!) Left at the lights onto Chelsea Embankment Ahead Shell garage on the left At the traffic lights turn left onto Kings Road Forward Kings Road Esso/Tesco Garage on left Forward New Kings Road At the lights turn left onto Wandsworth Bridge Road signposted Wandsworth & Clapham Forward Wandsworth Bridge Comply roundabout keeping to the right Leave by Swandon Way right at the lights turning into McDonalds to regroup in the car park. On leaving the carpark turn left back onto Wandsworth Bridge roundabout. Go all the way round the roundabout and leave by the 4th exit signposted Wandsworth & South Circular West Enter Wandsworth one way system keep to the right signposted Putney, Richmond & Tooting Look out for the Ferrari dealership on the right (currently closed for refurbishment) At the Rose & Crown pub turn right Note Chelsea Cars on the right Keep to left onto Putney Bridge Road signposted A3209 Ahead At the end of the road/traffic lights follow the road round to the right then right bearing onto Putney Bridge Putney Police Station on right Over Putney Bridge keep left bearing left onto Fulham High Street Bear left onto Fulham Palace Road Cemetary on right Shell garage on left Charing Cross Hospital on right Ahead to Hammersmith one way Comply Hammersmith one way system leave by A4 Hammersmith Bridge Road signposted Heathrow / M4 Keep to the left Ahead over Hammersmith Bridge At the traffic lights at the Castlenou pub turn right into Lonsdale Road signposted Mortlake At the roundabout bear right keeping the river on your right Under Barnes Bridge Station At the roundabout bear right onto Mortlake High Street Right at the roundabout onto Lower Richmond Road Youngs Brewery on right At lights turn right into Clifford Avenue Mortlake Cemetary on left Speed Camera be aware Ahead onto Chiswick Bridge At lights turn left into Hartingdon Road Keep going ahead Bear left onto Grove Park Road Turn left onto Thames Road Follow the road under the railway bridge Forward Strand on the Green At the end of the road turn immediate left onto Kew Bridge Kew Gardens on right Keep right bear right into Kew Road towards Twickenham London Welsh Rugby ground on right At the end of the road comply roundabout keeping to the right Leave in the direction of A316 (M3) 3rd exit Fullers London Pride Brewery on right Ahead onto Twickenham Bridge Speed Camera be aware At St Margarets Roundabout turn left into St Margarets Road Ahead Forward onto Richmond Bridge At the roundabout turn right Ahead through the village along Petersham Road Rendez Vous at the Rose of York on the left opposite the river |

| Damn it!! We are committed to go out on Sunday, so won't be able to come this year. Weather looks OK, bit chilly and murky, bit hopefully dry? Hope you all have a great time, shall try not to sulk too much!! Richard |
