MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Just wondering, which needles do you guy's use?

Regarding my 1275 build June 1971 for the American market. All the emission equipment discarded. What had to be blanked off is done, new high compression pistons. In fact I believe the engine is matching the standard European midgets build in the same period.
I believe too, that it's stock apart from a single box silencer and not the twin box, as it was.
When I got the car it had the AAC needles and from what I read on the internet and in my Burley / SU booklet it has to drive with AAC needles. In the start of my first Midget season last year though, it was not possible to adjust the setup properly with those AAC neeles. If I had a decent idle, it had a very lean running at speed, lets say 40-50 mph. And vice versa. I then found the genious mintylamb online comparision table and found a needle, ABH, offering the same mixture at idle, but a fatter mixture at speed. Now it was suddenly possible to tune in the carburettors to a quite decent result. I can hear, though, that it can be a fraction better at speed, it could be a fraction leaner, when having an ideal idle. If only I could find a needle with a fraction leaner mixture at speed, but I don't think that such a needle exist.
And I'm not able to find out, because to my regret, I found that the mintylamb is currently not working. The other day I just had to try out the AAC setup once more but that was excactly the same as last year, so the ABH needles are in again.
Both the AAC and ABH neddles are new and not worh out parts.
Now, this thread is only authored due to an all day rain here, the ABH needle setup is absolutey something I can run with.
So, back to the thread title: which needles do you guys drive when having the same standard engine setup?

Jan...for what it's worth I run my standard original 12CC engine on AN needles..absolutely fine throughout. Dave

I believe the engine setup should have been "Europanised" and rather stock, the filters too. I don't feel that the filters either prevent or increase the breathing. When driving around without filters, to warm the engine properly up and fine tuning, I can not feel any difference, whether filters are in or out.
But what just stroke me now; when stating the engine is stock is, that I fitted an CSI electronic ignition kit in the start of June last year, about a month in my first Midget season, must be shortly after the running in period. The old Lucas dizzy was totally worn out in the shaft and impossible to tune in. This was about 1 month after "Europanising" and overhaul was finished.
Since my engine is an American engine with the number 12CJ/DA/H42610 that I "Europeanised" with the high comp. 21253 pistons, maybe it should in fact have another ign. curve ??
I gave the CSI system ign. curve 7 and 10 deg. advance, as suggested in the CSI installation manual for the CJ engine. Don't remember which Lucas dizzy was in, gave it away, since it was incredible worn out. But I have written 25D4 on the installation manual....??
Could the ignition be the cause?
I will contact CSI, maybe it is in fact the ignition that's teasing, allthough the engine run's quite sweet
