MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Goodridge brake line

Hello,
I have a Goodridge Kit for my midget MKI (4 drums).
The diameter is smaller than the standard flexibles.
Is it normal?

The ones I fitted to my 1500 were much smaller daimeter than the originals but they work OK.

It's not the outside diameter that's important it's the ID. Usually brake lines are made with -3 AN line that is 3/16" in diameter inside. Some use -4 which is 1/4" ID. The braided stainless over teflon line is smaller OD because it doesn't take as much material to give even greater burst strength than the reinforced rubber lines. I have it throughout my car and haven't had any problems in over 10 years. It's a bit expensive compared to the rubber hoses, but it lasts forever and gives a great pedal feel so well worth the investment.

I agree with everything bill said, its so worth the pentance extra....esp. if you get them off ebay...Also they displace heat better then rubber during those aug. dog days
