MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Fly Off handbrake mod 2

Ok a while ago someone pointed me to this site

http://asciimation.co.nz/pics/flyaway/

which is pretty straightforward if you have an mgb. In fact this site, http://advanceddistributors.mybisi.com/all-categories/Page1.html sells the dang pawl for an MGB. Now that i have a spare handbrake lever I can expariement with, I am curious if the b pawls are interchangeable with the midget pawls. They do look different. I figure I could try to fabricate something and use the b pawl for inspiration, but if the two are interchangeable then why waste the effort?

Anyways, I want to get this done before I go autocrossing. Not that I think I'll have handbrake turns pufected by then, but it would be nice to have.

For reference, this is what the midget pawl looks like

Could always just put a pin through the handbrake button to hold it (the button) in while on the track?
