MG Midget and Sprite Technical - fiber glass panels

My midget (white 1976) has got the usual rusty bits.

of course the wil be som welding done to fix the shell (a heritage rebody maby later)
but for all the bolt on bits i'm thinking fiber glass.

a one piece font is "comon" and although it does not fit as well as metal in wil work fine for my midget where the main goal is driving fun

then there are doors and tailgates how do they fit?
can you use the doors for anny thing other than racing?
does the winding mecanism fit?

they are cheaper and rot free so for a non concours car where ease and cost are a factor are they the solution?
