MG Midget and Sprite Technical - exhaust

hi all,
i have a 1975 1500 midget and can anyone tell me if the car is much louder without back box. i have a bgt with sporty exhaust fitted and cant get used to the midget sounding like a fiesta.

I think one can deduce with some certainty that if you remove a silencer then it will be louder; but much louder? - define much.

Louder than a BGT - that's for sure ;)!

bear in mind a BGT has a steel roof with extra glass windows to reduce the exhaust noise with a Midget the roof is, well, thin vynil and that when the roof is up

so you don't need to go too loud to hear it

Ok whilst not a direct comparison - a lcb exhaust system from Magic Midget on a 1275 sounds louder than my large bore b roadster - but not as loud as on a 3.large number V8 conversion with two exhausts with cherry bombs!!!
