MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Engine numbers

Does any body know of any of the MG midget/Sprite specialists that have a
comprehensive list of engine numbers/ applications like MSC has for the
Mini/transverse engines please? Trying to identify engine number BHM1256
- ET15995 The number indicates a factory re-built unit,
but for what?
