MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Desperately Wanted - diff

Highest ratio possible, ideally 3.55 but I cant imagine finding one.

So anyone got a spare 3.7 diff they'd like to sell? I need one by this weekend to fit for le mans.

Geographically this week i'll be in Derby, Lemmington and south lincolnshire - spalding area.

Can anyone help?

Can't help with the diff but where are you staying at Le Mans?
Gary Lazarus

You know the differance bettween the common 3.9 and the rocking horse poo 3.7, is rather minimal...someone recently ran the numbers and it really didnt seem worth the effort...unfortantly I cant remember who that was or what there numbers rep.

but .2 is not alot, to get blown out over

you could most likely pull the bumpers and memic the same effect thur reduction of weight.

Just a thought

400 quid for a nice new one?

Gary - camping in bleu nord

Its actually not for my midget...

I've built a Reliant Kitten with a blackbird motorbike engine, and used a midget/morris axle. The gearing will be less than ideal, I need the highest ratio diff I can find. I actually have a slightly chewed 3.9 from my midget which I could use as a last resort.

Nick - my budget doesn't stretch to new prices.

Thanks for the input

Mick - trying to sort the wiring

early 1500s had the 3.9/ Late ones (from Aug 77) 'should' have a 3.7 but many have been changed over the years...
