MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Can I post Spridget stuff for sale here?

I notice there is nothing 4 sail on this board......is posting stuff for sale allowed?
I have a ton of spares that did not go with the car...A motor and drivetrain mostly. If not here where?
TIA...............JB

There is a classified ad section on this site, but it doesn't get a lot of traffic. I think the usual ploy is to post it there and then complain about how few hits you are getting (complete with links and descriptions).

if you post under classifieds on this site with a subject of midget then it gets automatically copied across to the MASC classifieds which produces quite good results IMO.

the MG Experience site has a good 'for sale' area
I check it ofter, and thins move fast there

You will see that there is no clear way to get to the classified section on this page. You can get there from the home page, as "Classifieds", or from the sign in page as "My Classifieds".

It also gets copied automatically to the Midget Register website.

As for how .......... Dunno :)

I'll second what Phil said. I'm surprised at how much stuff is posted AND sold on the MG experience "trader" forum. It may be the best place for those of us here in the USA.

Hey Prop - I take it back. Most words were spelt correctly AND the info re classifieds and how to get to them from here worked a treat - I never knew they were available from here. Well done mate.

but as always – Prop, you da man!

thanks all for suggestions......i'll post in "Classifieds" section.

I am familiar w/ MG Ex but in their advert section is mostly MGB...there is also SpriteSpot which is not too active unlike this board which gets tons of hits.

OK, since we are here... what are you selling?

BTW I've bought many things from MGE Trader, and nothing from the classifieds here. Maybe just coincidence.

I'll second what Trevor just said.
As stated by others, most members here don't post or buy off this sites classified, especially not from the US

I think a good 1/3rd of the MGE trader section is Midget related, and the site is more US oriented

That said, I still think this is THE MG site, whenever I have a tech question I come here

Prop - have you got a flikr account or similiar - the writings about your midget are interesting and it would be nice to place them into a context of sorts.

Phil: I posted here (classifieds) this am the whole 4 pages but it's all hiding in a corner on another section and is rather obscure. U gotta use the upper pull down in the green bar on the top of this page "classifieds" then go two or other places ugh!! I think the Spridget content in the MGE trader section is about at most 20% of the content......and I do notice that pictures are important there. Like uhhhh...heres a set of rod bearings...and you want a picture ?
I just dont have the time as i have a ton of 2,3,$5 items ..shims hardware etc, that would take way too much time to process individually.

I actually bought my very first Midget from the classifieds on this site. It was about 25 miles from where I lived, but I found it on a website thousands of miles away...

Just be wary of scammers offering to send you cheque/money orders for more than you ask and have you send the balance to a third party. Some fellows have encountered some attempted scams from their adverts. 99% were really obvious ones though.
