MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Brake Master Cyl connector parts

Hi All,

It has been a while since I've posted here. I've been busy working on a TD instead.

Recently the brake master cylinder on my 1275 started to leak, and I know that the last time I rebuilt it about 10 years ago that there was some pitting. So I removed the reservoir and sent it off to Apple Hydraulics to be rebuilt.

It came back, and they had removed the fittings which the brake lines attach to. But for each fitting there was also a spring and a plastic part with a small semi-circular piece of metal that fit inside.

I should have removed these when I sent it in... But ignoring that, how do these springs & plastic bits go back in? Plastic in towards the MC, or on top to come in contact with the fitting? I've looked in my shop manual & the Moss catalog but neither show anything like these.

I certainly wasn't expecting any little bits under those fittings...

Thanks,
Scott
