MG Midget and Sprite Technical - 1500 Cylinder block coolant plug?

Hi, Am I right in thinking that the plug to drain the coolant from the cylinder block on a 1500 midget is 1/2" BSP?
I'm thinking of putting a tap in to make it easier next time.

I'm fairly certain it's NOT a BSP thread but UNF. Not sure which size tho.
