MG Midget and Sprite Technical - 1500 CLUTCH PIPE

I have just started reassembling my 1500 midget and i need to know which way the clutch pipe runs from the mater to the slave any pic would be appreciated thanks

Hi Mark,

The Plastic clutch pipe runs from the back of the master cylinder, along the firewall, disappears down behind the battery, through a small hole under the battery tray, then down to the slave.

Bear in mind when bleeding that this means that the pipe goes higher than the master cylinder so it's really easy to get air trapped there, a gunsons eazibleed kit makes the whole bleeding situation a lot easier.

I personally have enlarged the hole in the battery tray that the pipe runs through so the slave will pass through it, this way means you never have to break the clutch system when removing the engine and box.

Hope this makes sense and is of use
